My 3 year old son love to ride around in what he calls his "lighning mcqueen car". Two things I did notice though. There is not much grip to the tires. They spin out every time he starts to pedal and it gets stuck in the lawn/grass. Also I had to loosen the pedals. If you screw them all the way in, then it is very difficult to pedal.

I have 3 girls ages: 8, 6 and 2, all girls LOVE their free Zip N' Zoom Pedal Car from the Step2 Toy Tester Program. We've had the car for almost 2 weeks now and it has not been put to rest. First let's talk about putting the car together. The instructions pretty straightforward, just make sure to turn the car upside down when you start to assemble. It took my husband about 45 min to put together. We've used the car in and out of the house. The car's traction on gravel is amazing, but indoors not so much. It was not getting any tractions at all. I highly suggest putting a rubber "lego" strip on the tires if you decide to use this indoors. Since you can adjust the seat into 3 setting, I have been able to use the car myself, I am 4'10 and 105 lbs, and it can hold me just fine, it's great and so fun to use. The only thing I do not like about the car is the driver has a possibility of falling back if you put too much pressure on the back part of the car. It has happened to me, but then again I am over 100 lbs and my 8 year old who is 59 lbs. Other than that the car is amazing. More than 10 kids have tried this product during playdates and family visits, and all those kids LOVE the car. Thank you Step2 for letting me test thus item as part of tge Step2 ToyTester Program!

What a fun and fantastic toy! My 5 year old helped me build it in under an hour. While we had to wait for the rain to break (which was probably the hardest part) - once we were able to go outside - he was able to Zip N' Zoom right away. He then began to invite the whole neighborhood over to come and play. The best part of this toy is that it doesn't require batteries and doesn't need to be charged! Woo hoo!! My boys (ages 6 and 4) have really enjoyed the Zip N' Zoom Pedal Car! They have always pretended their bikes were race cars, so this was even better! My 4 year old hasn't quite mastered turning yet but both of them loved driving it all around. And I love that it's a pedal car - no batteries and great exercise! Also is study and lightweight! My husband and I put it together in an hour or less - our only real issue we adjusted was the pedals... we loosened the screws so they could spin, otherwise they were too tight to spin as they should. But other than that straightforward instructions and fun toy! Thank you Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!

Upon opening, the instructions looked simple enough. They're pretty straight forward. However, my only hangup was the first 2 screws. The instructions say to use a simple screwdriver, but we ended up having to pull out the electric driver. It's just too difficult to push that hard without hurting yourself from the screwdriver slipping (I stabbed my self once). Also, just make sure the pedals aren't too tight. We ended up having to loosen them so they would spin as she pedaled. Other than that, my daughter loves it. She's a stroke survivor, and has left sided weakness. And while it took a few test drives, she eventually picked up the concept. I think this will be a fun therapy tool for her since it's not the typical monotonous therapy routine. This product is awesome! It was much easier to put together than I imagined. My two kiddos (3&5) couldn't even wait to get it outside and started pushing each other around inside the house! The tires don't get a lot of traction on certain types of ground ie: loose gravel, it worked great on concrete though. As with all of the Step2 products that we have, it's really sturdy and seems like it will be really durable. The car pivots in the middle and you turn the whole front end instead of the front wheels turning. Turning is a lot more interactive and the kids use their whole body, they had a blast! They preferred having one person ride and the other person push them along. Thank you Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program!!

I have three kids, ages 6, 4, & 2 and they all LOVED playing on the Zip N' Zoom Pedal Car. Unfortunately for my 2 year old is a bit petite, so even on the shortest setting, she wasn't quite able to reach the edge of the handles while sitting with her back up against the backrest, which made her feel a bit less confident than when her older brothers gave it a whirl! Thankfully, the older boys were able to gently push her along the street and she had a blast, I expect in a few more months, she'll grow to be tall enough to reach the pedals and handles with no issues. My 4 & 6 year olds can't get enough of taking this out for a spin. They definitely like pretending they are real race car drivers - and I love that its all kid-powered!! No batteries here! With the weather finally warming up, I see this becoming a new toy favorite at our house! Building the pedal car was relatively simple, but fair warning - the wheels do require to be hammered on (you have to use a mallet or hammer to knock them into place), so anyone looking to build this the night before Christmas or use as any other kind of surprise, try to do it in a place that won't wake the kids!
